DEVICE LIBRARY

A wide variety of assistive technology devices are available to borrow from our library. Items that are currently available are listed below. The borrowing period for devices, except iPads, are for 30 days. If a requested device is out on loan, the applicant will be placed on a waiting list. In order to borrow a device, a request form must be completed and submitted to AT Ohio. No devices will be released until the form is processed. AT Ohio will arrange for shipping to borrowers and for return upon the end of the borrowing period. A note about the links: Where possible, links to the manufacturer are included. In some cases, links to distributors are included instead. These links provide further information about the company or distributor where these items can be purchased. You can also find additional information to assist you in deciding whether or not a particular item is appropriate for you to borrow. You can always contact AT Ohio with any questions you may have. Appropriate cables and accessories are included with each device.

PLEASE NOTE: New policy for borrowing iPads

Because the amount of requests to borrow iPads from our Device Lending library, and because the current loan period makes it hard for us to fulfill those requests, we have made some changes in the borrowing procedure for iPads. As of February 1, 2013, the borrowing period for iPads will be 14 DAYS instead of 30. The iPads can be borrowed only by professionals, such as OTs, SLPs, teachers, principals, case managers, etc. The loans are NOT transferable: meaning that the person who makes the loan request IS the person responsible for returning the device. For instance, if you are an SLP requesting a device for a client, it will the SLP's responsiblity to make sure the device is returned on time. If extra time is needed to try out the iPad, you will need to contact AT Ohio and obtain written permission to extend the loan. Written permission can be obtained through e-mail. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Beginning February 1, 2013, NO devices will be shipped without a signed agreement. Once you complete the online request form, an agreement form will be mailed or e-mailed to the borrower. If you complete the paper form, a copy of the agreement will be delivered along with the device.
